It starts from the Junzhuang Interchange of the West 6th Ring Road and ends at the city boundary to the west where it connects with the Zhangzhuo Expressway in Hebei Province; the Hebei section is 118.5 kilometers, and is connected to Beijing by the Zhangzhou Expressway. It is composed of the high-speed connection project of the new national highway G109, the northward Zhangzhou-Zhuo Expressway main line to the Reclining Buddha Temple section, the Taihangshan Expressway Jingwei section, and the Zhangzhou-Shijiazhuang Expressway Yuxian Branch.

Currently, the Beijing-Weili Expressway project under construction mainly consists of the 4.4-kilometer Hebei section (the high-speed connection project between Zhangzhou-Zhuo Expressway and the Beijing National Highway G109 New Line) and the 8.5-kilometer Beijing section (Lingshan interchange to the Beijing-Hebei border).

The Beijing-Weili Expressway is a key project for the coordinated development of transportation integration in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
